Rick Laughridge
C12 Area Chair – Central SC
Rick has been called to his role as C12 Chair for Central South Carolina based in his hometown of Columbia. Prior to joining C12, Rick excelled as a Sales Executive and District Manager for a large international office furniture manufacturing firm, launched his own company, serving as owner and president of The Kera Group, an independent sales representative firm that marketed contract furniture and services to corporate, educational, government, and healthcare markets. After completing his undergraduate Degree in Management at Clemson University, he served as a Bank Branch Manager at First Citizens Bank and Trust in Columbia. Rick recently was awarded a Masters in Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Oviedo, Florida. Rick plans to launch C12 groups serving Florence, Sumter, Columbia, Aiken and N. Augusta.
Together with his college sweetheart, Karen, Rick is raising 4 daughters ages 11-19, two of whom are in college. Ask Rick what makes him tick? “My passion is getting people connected through small groups. God has allowed us to help plant a church, share our faith, lead small groups, teach Sunday School, reach out as a family using our home, lead a Crown Financial Ministries small group and counseled others, particularly couples, with their finances, and engage in couple, marriage and career counseling. It is my hope that my living out my faith as a business executive and my seminary training at RTS will provide further knowledge, wisdom, and character development to enable me to better lead my family and teach, challenge and equip God’s people through C12 and the church.”
Indeed, as with first-century Christianity, it all begins in the marketplace, where the disciples of Jesus daily rub shoulders with the lost. -
